Forward Thinking
By now the community was starting to see what Mission Foundation could do to help others succeed. Groups like the Lifetime Learning Association and the Friends of the Library, started to think about how the Foundation could help them in the future. Private donors also wanted to assist organizations and started up funds like MY House, Hospice and the Mission Archives. Through conversations with Board they learned that they could start a fund and have it pay in perpetuity to the organizations of their choice.
These direct disbursal funds pay annually without grant application and are not required to provide reporting on how the funding was spent. With the exception of years where the investment markets were in a downturn, these groups could look forward to receiving monies annually from the Foundation.
