Bequest Donations
When a Community Foundation receives surprise bequest it’s always filled with mixed emotions. On one hand you are very sorry to see someone you know has passed away, but, on the other hand you are eternally grateful for their generosity.
Mission Community Foundation was started from a bequest from Margaret Erskine and has received monies from several estates over the years: Marta Jonson, Atillio Negrin, Marilyn Boswyk, Claire Clemo, James Muir, Vivian Crist, and recently Jack Heptonstall.
Bequests have made up more than 50% of Mission Community Foundation holdings. If you’d like to find out how you can leave monies to the Foundation through your will, contact your legal representative or call Angie, our Executive Director, and she can assist with the process.
