Fund Facts: Derrough Fund

Dennis and Joan Derrough love music, this was evident weekly as they attended all the Concerts in the Park during the summer.

Their fund is designed to help schools and organizations purchase equipment and sheet music, and for the last few years has been used to add to the School District’s music departments by purchasing hand bells and percussion instruments.  When not used for equipment, this fund has a secondary purpose of providing scholarships to students studying music.

The fund was started in 2001 and has supported our schools with $5,740.00 to purchase musical equipment as well as helped 7 students with scholarships totaling $7,000.00.
