The Friends of the Library Fund, created in 1994 with a generous donation from Vic Hollister, an active member of the Friends of the Library, a volunteer group that supports the Mission library.
This fund distributes monies each year to the Friends of the Library group. The money allows the group to purchase books and furnishings for the Mission Library.
Through activities such as book sales and Quiz Night, Friends of the Library is able to not only provide funding for books and furnishings but also supports Literacy in Motion and the library’s Summer Reading Club. The group also volunteers for activities hosted by the library.
