This scholarship fund was established in memory of Ross Allan by his parents, Kim and Lynn in 2003.
Ross Allan was a student at Mission Secondary School who was a recipient of two Mission Community Foundation scholarships in his graduating year to study Engineering. When Ross won these scholarships he stated that when he started working, he would like to give back to the Foundation and give the opportunity to someone else to receive an award.
Ross was unable to use these scholarships but his family was so grateful for his receiving them that they wanted to honor his wishes and started this bursary for students pursuing post-secondary education in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
Since inception this fund has helped 6 students for a total of $5500.00.
