Circle of Wisdom Society (COWS)

The Circle of Wisdom Society, affectionately called the COWS for short, was a group of 15 educators and support staff within Mission School District who created this fund in 2006.  This scholarship was designed to assist female candidates wishing to enter into post-secondary studies in Education.

The fund was started when the Circle of Wisdom Society decided to stop giving each other gifts at birthdays and Christmas.  Instead they made a pact to donate to the COWS fund at the Mission Community Foundation.  This unique approach to gift giving has enabled many students the opportunity to further their education.
