Calnek Family Fund

This fund is truly a family affair.

Don Calnek was the Treasurer of the Mission Community Foundation for 18 years.  He knows that organizations such as MCF will become more important in the future as post-secondary education costs continue to increase.

The family fund was started by Don & Elaine Calnek with the help of their son Steve and his wife Brenda as a way to help young people get started with an education for the future. Both father and son contribute to the fund, and will add to it as required to ensure an award is given annually.

Their fund will supply a Bursary to graduating students entering any post-secondary field of study.    This decision enables the Scholarship committee more flexibility in assigning awards.
