Mission Community Foundation does not fund salaries, wages, labour, contract or service fees of any kind (including advertising, equipment rentals, and contractor costs). Applicants must submit a complete project budget excluding all labor-related expenses.
Community Grants will not be provided for sponsorships or in-kind grants; salaries, wages, dues, fees, sabbaticals; student exchanges, scholarships, or fellowships; annual fund drives; projects with a religious component; endowment funds; mortgage payments or deficit reduction; capital expenses, new construction, or preventative maintenance; operating expenses; or organizations without a Mission, BC address.

The purpose of the Mission Community Foundation’s Grant Program is to provide monies to qualified charitable organizations to assist in serving the Community of Mission.
There are two annual grant cycles – Grant Cycle 1 in Spring and Grant Cycle 2 in Fall.
Who Can Apply
Mission Community Foundation’s Granting Program provides monies to qualified Charitable and Non-for-Profit Organizations within the City of Mission, including the Mission Public School District catchment area.
Grants are provided to projects geared towards health, education, arts and culture, sports and recreation, local environment, animal welfare, and social service.
Mission Community Foundation provides two grant cycles per year.
Preference will be given to organizations that demonstrate projects will address community concerns that benefit a wide audience, are non-discriminatory, appeal, support, and provide direct service to the community, as well as assist in the relief of poverty and social needs.
For example, preference will be given to projects that:
- Address current social issues.
- Have a lasting impact.
- Demonstrate innovative new approaches and techniques in the solution of community problems.
