Mission District Historical Society – Community Archives Branch

Mission dist ARCHIVES fundMission’s documentary heritage is preserved by the Mission Community Archives, operated by the Mission District Historical Society.

This fund was created by long-time Mission resident, Shirley Walker, who had a passion for history.  She researched her family history and published a book “From Sailing Ships to Spitfires.”  It was through this research that she decided to start this fund to help support the Mission Archives.

The Mission District Historical Society is dedicated to preserving Mission’s past by archiving its history.  Whether you want to find out about Mission’s local flower, the Caitlyn, or that Mission was once the Soap Box Derby and Strawberry capital of the world, you will find the answers at the Mission Archives.

This fund distributes monies annually to assist in purchasing archival materials.

If you believe preserving Mission’s history is important, donate today!
