Beaton Patience Fund Image

Monies from this fund are used to provide grants to groups like Mission Senior Secondary’s Dry Grad committee to assist in planning safe ways for students to celebrate.

Beaton’s concern about the growing drug and alcohol abuse and addiction in our youth led him to create this fund in 1998.  He felt that prevention was the easiest and most satisfactory solution to abuse and addiction.

Beaton Patience was a military man, who served in the RCAF for 26 years before retiring to Mission to become a honey producer.  He was active with Big Brothers, Red Cross, Heart & Stroke Fund, Arthritis Society, CNIB and the Salvation Army.
