The Mission Community Foundation is proud to announce that it awarded $152,000 in scholarships to 75 Mission students, marking the largest amount given in Mission Community Foundation’s history. These scholarships were presented to grade 12 graduating students and 2nd year and adult learners, who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement.
The Mission Community Foundation held the GW Cooke and Scholarship Awards Event, on June 5, 2024, at the Clarke Theatre in Mission, BC.
The Mission Community Foundation’s Scholarship program plays a vital role in supporting financially, the educational goals for Mission youth and adult learners, investing in the future successes in our community.
The scholarships are made possible through the generous contributions of the benefactors. Their continued support enables the Mission Community Foundation to fulfill its mission, to strengthen our community to enable the disbursements of scholarships, bursaries, and grants for Mission citizens. The Mission Community Foundation is grateful for the ongoing generosity of its donors, whose contributions make a meaningful difference in the lives of Mission students.
The GW Cooke Award recognizes middle school students who have demonstrated exemplary dedication to studies in Math and Science. We presented the GW Cooke Award to 37 students. These awards are made possible through the GW Cooke Fund. (George Willoughby Cooke) (Bill and Shirley Walker)
