This fund, in memory of Ralph Babuik, was established in 2005 to support students who wish to pursue a career in a trade. Ralph was a red seal millwright, who received his certification at age 28 from BCIT. He was sponsored by Whonnock Lumber which was located in Whonock, BC.
Trades people are highly trained and sought after in the workforce. The rewards are significant by providing challenging and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Ralph Babuik’s family established this fund to support students who choose a career path in one of the trades. Since inception in 2006 this fund has helped 6 students further their educational goals.
