20 Years Strong!
In June 2006 the Board started preparations for a 20th anniversary party. A committee consisting of Ian Graham, Carole Steger, Don Calnek and Sheri Cannon was struck to create an evening highlighting Awareness in the Community. Two events were planned.
The first was to have a booth at the Farmers Market on June 28, 2007 where Carol Steger, Jeanne Price and Rita Dyer handed out 20th anniversary cake.
The second event was held on September 29, 2007 at the Best Western in Mission; the food was served buffet style and musical entertainment was supplied by the Moonlighters. The Foundations Board of Directors invited friends and family to celebrate its successes and to have a silent auction. Auction items were donated by private individuals and local businesses. The auction items varied from gift cards/certificates to professional services to merchandise.
